Privacy policy

Last updated 9 July 2026.

AI Finance Forum is a paid, application-only community for Australian finance leaders, hosted by Nick Urry. This policy explains what we collect when you apply, join and take part, how we use it, and who we share it with. We handle your information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

AI Finance Forum is operated by [Legal entity and ABN to be confirmed]. If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your information, contact us at privacy@aifinanceforum.com.au.

What we collect

When you apply through the application form, we collect the details you give us. That includes your name, work email, company, your role, the finance software you use, your level of AI fluency, and the goal you want to work on inside the community.

Membership is free, so we do not collect or process any payment or card details.

Once you join, your name and email set up your access in Circle, the platform that hosts the community and live sessions. Anything you post or share inside Circle is visible to other members and to us in line with how the platform works.

How we use your information

We use your information to review your application, decide whether to approve it, set up and manage your membership, give you access to the community and live sessions, and keep in touch about sessions, changes and member matters. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising to people outside the community.

Who we share it with

We share your information only with the services that run the forum on our behalf. Each of them holds your information under its own terms and privacy obligations.

We use Notion to store and review applications, Circle to run the community and live sessions, and Resend to send email. If website analytics are switched on, we use them to understand how the site is used in aggregate. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as you are a member, and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet our legal, tax and business obligations. When we no longer need it, we take steps to delete it or hold it in a form that does not identify you.

How we protect it

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. The services we rely on, including Notion, Circle and Resend, maintain their own security practices for the data they hold.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it where we are able to. You can cancel your membership at any time. To make a request, or to raise a concern about how we have handled your information, email privacy@aifinanceforum.com.au and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The version published here is always the current one, and the date at the top shows when it last changed.
